Friday 8       International Women's Day, Coronation Hall, Ulverston, 10am-3.30pm

                    Thought-provoking line-up of speakers on international women's issues. 

                     Tickets still available - pay on the door.

Thurs 14 +   Natural Art Course with Margaret Jarvis, WI Office, Kendal, 10am-3pm

Thur 21        Brush up on your painting and drawing skills with expert help. Beginners welcome.


Sat 16          Spring Table Top Sale & Coffee Morning, Appleby Public Hall, 9am-12noon

                    WIs can hire a stall for fundraising or just come & enjoy a friendly cuppa with WI friends.

Mon 18         Reading Aloud, People's Hall, Sedbergh, 11am

                     Teams of two compete for the Rose Bowl Trophy - reading from Little Women +

                     a poem of choice. Adjudicator: Chris Tyler of Kendal Writers' Cafe.

Tue 20      Stress-Busting Rag Hooking, WI Office, 10am-3pm

                     Try your hand at this fascinating traditional craft.

Thur 28        From Green to Gold Again, Endmoor Village Hall, 10am-3pm

                     Learn how to improve your scores at our Shows with this informal day featuring specialist

                      judges in craft, cookery & garden produce.


Mon 1           ***Please note change of date: Federation Spring Meeting, Kendal Town Hall, 7pm

                     Large evening meeting with all the WI news plus entertaining comedienne Helene Dolder.

Wed 3      Federation Spring Lunch, Castle Green Hotel, Kendal, 12.30pm for 1.00pm

                     Delicious food plus talk from fascinating speaker Sarah Weldon

Wed 10       Listen, Speak, Inspire, WI Office, Kendal, 10am-12noon

                      Fun course helping build members' speaking confidence.

Tues 16        Speakers' Afternoon, Bryce Institute, Burneside, 1.30pm-4pm

                     Our ever-popular afternoon when we get to hear new speakers & entertainers with a view 

                     to booking them for WI meetings.

Thur 25         Briefing Conference, WI Office, Kendal, 10am-12noon

                      Information for delegates and others attending the NFWI Annual Meeting in Bournemouth,

                      plus further details of the resolutions that will be debated at that meeting.


Sun 5 -          Federation Holiday to Northern Ireland

Fri 10            Super holiday including visits to the Giant's Causeway and Fermanagh Lakelands.

Wed 15         Painting for Pleasure, Ravenstonedale, Kirkby Stephen

                      All levels welcome at this friendly open air art session.


Sat 1 -           Country Fest, Crooklands

Sun 2            Terrific family-friendly local show featuring WI Marque with members' exhibits.

Wed 5           NFWI Annual Meeting, Bournemouth

                     Our party of delegates, WI Advisers and Observers travel down on Tuesday 4 June & 

                     return on Thursday 6 June
